Vianney Nights!

Praise be Jesus Christ, now and forever.

Please know that February 11th is our annual St. John Vianney Auction Night. This is the most important fund raiser for our school. As I have stated before we are really no longer a parochial school, rather we are a mission school, serving the children of Flint. I also believe our school is one of the best evangelization tools that we have. Many people believe evangelization is a tool to make people Catholic. That is not what we are trying to do. We are a school that believes that the Incarnate Word of God, Our Lord Jesus Christ is at the center of our world, our community, our parish and our school. I firmly believe that building a relationship in which our studies are tied to the Lord makes all the difference in the world. We are not shy about the fact that we are Catholic. In fact, this is the very reason we take children who are not necessarily Catholic. These children may not be Catholic, but we are! These children will receive a Catholic education. I will remind you that the Catholic education system is the oldest and continuous education system in the world. Catholic education works! It works for our world, our community, our parish and it works for you. The children who leave St. John Vianney School will be more compassionate and active in serving the needs of others. Once again, we have an anonymous gift of $50,000, which needs to be matched by all of us. I ask you to please consider a donation that will help us to keep Catholic education in Flint. Whether it knows it or not, whether it likes it or not, this city needs this school!

You are all in my prayers and heart. Holy Mary, Mother of Flint help us to continue to proclaim Jesus Christ as Our Lord and God.

Fr. Tom
